8 March 2018:
The Non Una di Meno march in Rome
On 8 March 2018, marking International Women’s Day, the Non Una di Meno movement organized a large demonstration in Rome as part of the International Women’s Strike.
The march, which started from Piazza Vittorio, crossed the city center, focusing on gender-based violence, pay inequality, and the structural precarity affecting women’s work.
According to organizers, more than 50,000 people took part in the demonstration, with broad and diverse participation across age groups and social backgrounds.
The mobilization formed part of a global day of protest and further consolidated Non Una di Meno as a central actor in contemporary feminist movements in Italy.
